Let's not deify the Constitution. It has some great parts, but times like these demonstrate very clearly that it also has some weak parts.

I don't care whether SCOTUS will or won't side with Trump.
I care that the very decision of siding with Trump, or not, lies with nine unelected, fallible, corruptible humans with no real oversight.

The U.S. Constitution...overly dependent on prevailing norms and common sense, and unable to foresee 200+ years into the future...is ultimately what failed us.
The current parties are just a symptom of that and amendments are not a cure.
We need a new Constitution.
