Mozambique and Botswana win  Mozambique and Botswana were the big winners on the third day of the Cosafa under-17 Girls’ Championship that is being staged in Windhoek, Namibia, both recording what could be crucial victories. Mozambique secured a big 11-0 victory over Mauritius that gives them a chance of being the best runner-up in in the group phase. They could yet finish top if Mauritius pull off a shock win over Zambia on Tuesday. Jessica Andicene netted a hattrick for the Mozambicans, who had nine different scorers, though one of those was Mauritius defender Abellia Armance, who put the ball into her own net. It was a commanding performance from the Mozambicans, who had lost their opener 4-0 to defending champions Zambia on Saturday. Botswana completed a comfortable 3-0 Group C victory over Zimbabwe, who were playing their first game in the tournament. Hope Lesotho netted a brace for Botswana, the first from the penalty-spot and the second a wonderful long-range finish as she caught the Zimbabwe goalkeeper off her line. Gorata Kgotle added the third for her side in what was a comprehensive win in the end. Botswana were edged 1-0 by Lesotho in their first game on Sunday in what could yet be a tight pool if Zimbabwe beat Lesotho in their final game on Wednesday. The action continues on Tuesday as Zambia take on Mauritius (12h00 local time/10h00 GMT) in the final game in Group B. The Zambians will be looking to join Malawi in the semi-finals after the latter qualified from Group A on Sunday.
