The other button says “Zags,” the unofficial nickname for the Gonzaga University Bulldogs. Over the last 25 years, many people who have attended or graduated from WSU have gone ga-ga for the Zags as Gonzaga has qualified for every NCAA men’s basketball tournament since 1999. In contrast, WSU men’s basketball has qualified for the Big Dance just three times since Gonzaga’s run. Following Dan Monson’s departure for Minnesota in 1999, Mark Few has coached the Zags since. WSU has had seven coaching changes ranging from good ones who left for greener pastures to fucking awful ones who had no fucking business whatsoever coaching major-college Division 1 basketball.
