We have a problem with school bus ventilation. Given near zero masking there's no better way to spread respiratory illness in a community.

😬 #COVIDco2 measurement of CO₂ in a backpack at a movie theatre (The Strand, Simcoe, ON) this morning. The steady rise indicates little to no ventilation. The air remained cool at 20°C. Peak at the end was 2980 ppm, 6.8% rebreathed air, or 1 in 15 breaths shared.
Cirque du Soleil Toronto #covidco2 measurements up to intermission, reached 1295 ppm CO₂. The venue is cooled with several external units.
Out here in Strausslandria where very few students and teachers are masked I'm thankful for the good ventilation in my daughter's classroom. Maximum was 700 ppm CO₂ for 2 minutes. Averaging 540-600 ppm. Two recess breaks clearly visible. #COVIDCO2

Once the CO2 reached about 2000 we could feel air moving and noted it dropped a bit and then stayed in that range. I am guessing the ventilation system turned on when the temperature went above a set point. #covidCO2

Small commercial #COVIDCO2 example. Rooftop unit providing heating/cooling/ventilation set to Auto. Mild day, temperature outside is close to the temperature inside. Thermostat is satisfied, so NO #ventilation. Notified staff. Changed fan status from AUTO to ON. ☑️

Morning commute and with the A/C on in the car on “auto” the system evidently was in recirculating mode. CO2 reached well over 2000 ppm. Reminder if you’re riding in a car with others to keep your mask on, open windows and ensure system is set to ⬅️ not ↩️. #covidCO2
