#CrackTheSky was such a regional band, except for one album that was the Rolling Stone album of the year. Witkowski was almost a journeyman guitarist, played with Donnie Iris and other Pittsburgh/Baltimore/Cleveland bands. I was a fan, but was amazed that they were not as famous outside the area.

Saw them back in the late 70's? Early 80s? And here they are in 2008 and some are still playing on. A progressive rock band of a slightly different sort. Technical and creative, but not out there or too orchestral.
