The only "downside" is that some levels have you come back later because of the colored gems or secret warp rooms (one I had to look up) just to get the complete box count. And a few levels had some rough box gems to get, but nothing too crazy. I think Crash 1, in my memory, was harder, but I think that's due to how he handled. Not a fan of collect-a-thons either or dumb platforming requirements just for an alternate ending for the sake of the "true ending", but the true ending here was just... lame.
Well. After playing Donkey Kong Country 2 & Crash 2 for the first time ever this year, I can definitely say Crash 2 is the least biggest offender for cryptic platformer BS.
But the bosses and ending(s) of #Crash2 are so laughably boring and plain. At leas the game was fun. All you can ask for tbh.
