Then #Eisenhower suppressed the Navy’s 1957 #CrittendenReport, which found #queers could serve satisfactorily. It was released by court order in 1977, but meanwhile the military gave #LGBTQ people dishonorable discharges. HowSexGotScrewedUp.com #QueerHistory

#DwightEisenhower made it illegal for #gays & #lesbians, who helped him win WWII, to serve in the #military, to work for the #FederalGovernment or its #contractors! He also suppressed the Navy’s 1957 #CrittendenReport, which found #queers could serve satisfactorily.
