80 years ago, a US atomic bomb devastated Nagasaki. Survivors continue to carry the unbearable pain and tell their stories. Their courage helps the world remember. We honor them by making sure a nuclear weapon is never used again. nti.org/no-more-hiroshimas #CultureAgainstNukes

The stories we tell matter. In 1983, The Day After, a TV film depicting the aftermath of a nuclear attack, reached 100 million Americans and helped pave the way for historic treaties that reduced stockpiles by 80%. Culture helps create change. #CultureAgainstNukes

Nuclear disarmament is extremely important. We don't need nukes. No one does. And a new nuclear arms race is like two people in a house made of dry twigs soaked in gasoline arguing over who has more matches. ONE IS TOO MANY!!

Neither one of those bombs needed to be dropped. The scientists on the project begged the administration to not use them but the Truman administration wanted to send a message to the world; the USA not only has nuclear weapons of mass destruction but will use them, bow down.
