Quick #synthsky update: got the PSU, VCO, and VCA wired up. It's now a barebones self-contained analog unit!

Spain and Portugal just went completely dark. No power, no communication, nearly 60 million people offline. Some are still out. This old radiocassette kept us connected... and funny enough, it also helped inspire a track on my new album.

Today's about the Microfreak. Four voices, poly aftertouch, weird, and seriously fun. I'm obsessed. It's all over my tracks: acid bass, arps, even fake strings and Hammond sounds. Sure it doesn't have effects, but I've got other gear for that!

Red Dwarf was the first #DIY synth I built. Digital oscillator (Atmel) with analog low-pass filter. It's a 4-voice paraphonic beast: chaotic, unique, great for pads and mono arps. It's on nearly every track of my new album.
