#DCPublisher, #JennetteKahn, attempted to counter #Marvel's dominance in 1978 by flooded the market with 50 books and poaching some of Marvel's top talent, calling it the #DCExplosion. This quickly backfired, later called the
#DCImplosion, with only three books surviving .

We tend to associate #JoeKubert more with the military genre and jungle action, thinking that science fiction was out of his wheelhouse. But Joe with a pencil in his hand was the conqueror of all worlds. This beauty never saw print; scheduled for December 1980, a victim of the #DCImplosion.
