Interesting discussions about risk, experimentation and measurement - for example, tests being run and pulled down but the code still remaining and getting reused even if it hasn't been accessibility tested #DSDay24

Great examples of where designers need to be pragmatic, especially at a fast moving startup: letting go of the exact spacing specified in your designs.

A good example of a solid system is moving away from pixel perfect design and more to systematised design (example where figma was different from designs and the dev just ignored the styling inconsistencies as in the figma file) #DSDay24

#DSDay24 lego bricks seems to work as a narrative about the value of design systems. (That said - I'd love to keep this going and say a lego house wouldn't pass safety standards, there are still things that need guidance and expertise that can't just be cobbled together with things)

Design systems are building a product, a way of working and a community - without all of these you just have methods. It means that it requires training and change management, comms, documentation, support, and ways to show value #DSDay24
