Who needs a paper shredder when you've got a Pippin puppy? I've been allowing him to rip up junk mail since the alternative involves destroying the furniture. He pulled the cushion off of the sofa, ripped open the zipper and pulled out foam pieces before I could stop him.

It was just a matter of time given Pippin puppy's personality. I'm sitting in an ER Vet clinic waiting for Pippin to vomit since he may have eaten something toxic. The puppy is so damned stubborn that he needs a 2nd dose of the emetic. I've had enough drama for 1 day!

Pippin puppy is almost 2 wks post neuter & will lose the soft donut that prevents him from messing with the surgery site in 2 days. Poor guy has been on tranquilizers, crated & only taken out for brief walks - not much of a life when you're an active, playful, cute puppy.

Pippin puppy is still healing from his surgical alteration (fancy Vet term for neuter). He's on meds that make him drowsy. Between naps, I give him puzzles that mentally challenge him. Today, he completed the puzzle, flipped it over and used it as a pillow.

Pippin puppy goes under the knife in the AM. Poor guy is being neutered. He's my 1st male dog so this is all new to me. Is it weird that I had to have one last picture of him intact? Hoping this helps him calm down. He was a firecracker when I got him. Now, he's a loose cannon.

Pippin puppy isn't feeling good. He's developed stress colitis - a very upset tummy due to fear of noises, people, dogs, cars, signs, shadows & phantoms that he alone sees. He's on special food, anti-anxiety, antibiotics & anti-diarrhea meds, & in need of Mom's cuddles.

Pippin was supposed to be a miniature dachshund. He's not even 6 months old and he weighed in today at 12.4 lbs during a vet visit. Willow weighs 13.4 lbs at 7 years old. Suffice to say something in Pippin's genes mutated. He's going to be a monster!
