I heard some mixed things coming into Ball X Pit but glad my brother ended up recommending the game to me. It's pieces together elements from games like Vampire Survivors, Arkanoids, and bullet hell shooters to create a very unique experience. The loop is very satisfying as well. #Dax2025games

Took 3 separate playthroughs over the years but finally got the Gap Master trophy in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 & 2! Only 3 trophies to go... Some of those hard To Get There challenges low-key scare me, though.

Don't get me wrong, looking forward to playing Pokemon Legends: Z-A but being able to avoid some of the toxic discourse and playing the best version of the game (especially as somebody who will probably play it on the orginal Switch) is kind of nice.

The gameplay loop in Digmon Story: Time Stranger is compelling/captiviating as all hell. End up playing longer than I intend each time I pick up the game. Honestly GOTY/Top 5 material right now.

Alright, that's a wrap on the original Ratchet and Clank Trilogy. While the original definitely shows its age in several departments, all in all, I think the series holds up very well. Need a bit of a break after playing all 3 back-to-back but will probably play ToD with my wife next. #dax2025games

I still love that KHI but it definitely beginning to show it's age (think playing Birth By Sleep first didn't help either). Do wonder if my wife would be more amenable to KHII since its a lot smoother of an experience (at least gameplay wise) but just glad she enjoys the series. #dax2025games
Don't know if I'll ever be able to platinum Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 (some of the Skate Heaven gaps are evil) but at least I was able to do that infuriating volcano jump once again. Sinister place to put the last alien plushie though.

While my overall experience with Balan Wonderland has been surprisingly positive (bear in mind I am collectathon/platformer junkie), the Balan Bouts are easily the most frustrating part of the game. In order to 100% the game you have to do each one perfectly which has been a chore. #dax2025games
I miss Aqua's cartwheel movement ability. The I-frames it gives you are a life send.

Actually managed to beat one of the toughest bosses in the Kingdom Hearts series! Still feel like Yozora (KH3: ReMind) is hands down the hardest boss in the entire series (was never able to beat him), but honestly surprised I was able to beat "Unknown" on Proud mode.

Finally got around to finishing South by Midnight. All and all, a very charming game, but the ending felt a little rushed, unfortunately (there were several loose ends that weren't tied up, and the sorta just ends). Was kind of looking forward to curbstomping a certain someone.... #dax2025games

Think Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia might be the hardest Castlevania (SotN/Metroidvania style) I've ever played. Despite the difficulty hiccups, I've been enjoying my time with the game though. Love Shanoa's design too. Would love to cosplay as her if I ever got the chance. #dax2025games

While I love Hi-Fi Rush, I think I just need to accept it's just not a game that I'm not very good at. It's hard for me to carry a rhythm (especially in combat), so I usually get around 50% on the just timing score after each battle -_-

Tried beating Sonic the Hedgehog 2 au naturel (without save scumming) and tripped at the finish line. Stupid spike hands... Weird having a final boss fight with no rings present.

Of course... *looks at username* I'm slightly biased. While I still absolutely love these games, elements like the aiming in Jak II and 3 haven't aged the best. That said, I love this world and would love for Naughty Dog or another Sony Studio to revisit the series one of these days.

6th Game of 2025 Finished: Vampire Survivors
I completely missed the boat on this game when it originally came out, but in my mind, VS is a masterpiece. The fact that they were able to craft such a deep and engaging exp using only an analog stick (& 2 buttons for menus) is insane.
