A couple of #microscope shots of the #spores found inside what I'm now fairly confident are #Fungi from the genus Elaphomyces, all species apparently referred to as #DeerTruffles.
Not uncommon, but NOT known to be found growing in trees 1m above the ground.
Spores measured ~ 27-28 µm
