#DendensMusicDen. Day 180. This Is Who We Are was the first album of Dutch Rock band Di-rect with their new frontman. I wasn't really into this kind of pop rock back then, but I think it's pretty solid to listen to now. Quite reminiscent of The Who at times, when they go loud. #MusicSky #Di-rect
#DendensMusicDen. Day 179. Plagues of Babylon had to grow on me, and it did over time. I had only just been listening to Iced Earth and was accustomed to every album having a few standouts, but Plagues is more of a consistently high quality Heavy Metal. Stu Block kills it. #MusicSky #PhysicalMedia
#DendensMusicDen. Day 178. I remember Eminem was EVERYWHERE when Without Me was released. I frikkin loved it. Listening to the full album The Eminem Show for the first time now, I'm wondering why I took so long to do so, as I can't stop banging my head. Great flow! #MusicSky #PhysicalMedia #Eminem
#DendensMusicDen. Day 177. Like all the albums from The Goo Goo Dolls, Something For The Rest Of Us kind of got lost in my random MP3 list. Listening to the whole album now, I can really appreciate that unique Goo Goo Dolls-sound and some great songs overall without getting tired of it. #MusicSky
#DendensMusicDen. Day 176. Most of my extremely broad taste in music finds its roots in Blues, yet I hardly own any Blues albums. I enjoy it mostly live, but Harmonica Blues from Bob Corritore And Friends is a great reminder of one of the most memorable Blues nights I've had. #MusicSky #Blues
#DendensMusicDen. Day 175. Kōji Kondō's greatest work condensed on a single CD, epically performed by an orchestra. This 25th Anniversary Special Orchestra CD came with a copy of Skyward Sword, and as much as I loved that game, this was the true treasure of the package. (1/3)
#DendensMusicDen. Day 174. Never heard this before and I can't believe that I missed it. Smashing Pumpkins' Siamese Dreams boasts amazing vocals and lyrics supported by impressively varied arrangements that make for a timeless album that's uniquely as much punk as it is progressive. #MusicSky
#DendensMusicDen. Day 173. It’s never too late to discover music I have missed out on back in the days I was more into what was known as Classic Rock back then. First-time listen to Jimmy Eat World, (1/2)
#DendensMusicDen. Day 172. Switchfoot again. We were going to see them perform that night, so I figured, just this once, two albums of the same band in a row. I really feel like going through a hurricane listening to Hello, Hurricane, (1/2)
#DendensMusicDen. Day 171. This was my first-time listen to a Switchfoot album. I quite like it. The Beautiful Letdown is a good mix of heavy guitar and some lighter punk rock. Certainly very reminiscent of early 2000s vibes. Pretty cool! #MusicSky #PhysicalMedia #CD #Switchfoot
#DendensMusicDen. Day 170. What impresses me most about The Getaway, would be that it has that distinct laidback yet energetic Red Hot Chili Peppers’ sound all throughout, but (1/2)
#DendensMusicDen. Day 169. Switchfoot's frontman Jon Foreman compiled his solo EP's Fall and Winter in this incredibly relaxing CD combo. This is something I'd put in a game like Life Is Strange, which is like the highest praise coming from me. #MusicSky #PhysicalMedia #JonForeman #Switchfoot
#DendensMusicDen. Day 168. Sadly, I don’t have any of Danny Elfman’s brilliant soundtracks yet. I did make a compilation CD of 25 tracks and songs from The Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride, (1/2)
#DendensMusicDen. Day 167. Wow, The Who were absolute beasts on the stage. Just listen to their live renditions of Tommy's songs compared to the album. Live at the Isle of Wight Festival 1970 is an incredible performance overall. #MusicSky #PhysicalMedia #DVD #TheWho #RogerDaltrey #PeteTownshend
#DendensMusicDen. Day 166. Many, many days after listening to Gandalf’s Journey Through An Imaginary Land, I was again in the mood for some soothing melodies. Visions did not disappoint as, yet again, a work of pure musical wizardry. #MusicSky #PhysicalMedia #Vinyl #Gandalf #NewAge #Ambient
#DendensMusicDen. Day 165. Otherwise known as “that creepy tune from The Exorcist”, when you listen to the album, Tubular Bells turns out to be something much more. A journey through different styles; what Mike Oldfield crafted here transcends Progressive Rock and mesmerizes constantly. #MusicSky
#DendensMusicDen. Day 164. Some of my all-time favourite songs come from The Rolling Stones. The Stones Story is an awesome compilation album that contains their autobiography, pictures and arguably their best songs. I bought it in great condition as well. Possibly the best 2 euros I ever spent.
The all-white cover of Ismism by Godley + Creme on vinyl. The inner sleeve has a red stripe above the information text and a blue one underneath.
Tracklist: Snack Attack Under Your Thumb Joey's Camel The Problem Ready For Ralph Wedding Bells Lonnie Sale Of The Century The Party
#DendensMusicDen. Day 162. Godley + Creme's Ismism is really, really weird. It's like several poem readings with a variety of jazzy and groovy tunes, that occasionally come together into something resembling songs. I kinda like it.
#DendensMusicDen. Day 161. Much like its predecessor, Ammonia Avenue, Vulture Culture very much delves into same themes to great effect. Though I found some of the first half to be a bit dull this time around, overall it's a good The Alan Parsons Project-album yet again. #MusicSky #PhysicalMedia
#DendensMusicDen. Day 159. So of course we bought a bunch of albums of Feeder after seeing them love. Comfort In Sound is already a good start. Being decidedly more mellow than their live performances, one can appreciate the musicality and lyrics much more. But make no mistake, it's still rock!
#DendensMusicDen. Day 158. How does one evoke the feeling of adventure with Sky Pirates soaring through the open skies? How does air sound in music? What do you hear in a town on an island suspended in midair? And how would it sound on the other side of the world? (1/3)
#DendensMusicDen. Day 156. I once picked this up for €2.50, which was a sign that this was in good condition amongst the 50 cent record piles. But I couldn't have known that I just bought one of the most captivating, musical journeys I had ever heard. (1/2)
#DendensMusicDen. Day 155. Of the many albums they made, there was bound to be a Jethro Tull album that felt like something was missing. Under Wraps isn't bad, but it feels like they played it relatively safe with this one, lacking creativity and energy. #MusicSky #PhysicalMedia #Vinyl #JethroTull
#DendensMusicDen. Day 154. While the first song certainly has an impact, it is hardly recognisable as the band Supertramp would grow to be. The rest of their debut album is a meandering collection of decent, but mostly unremarkable songs. #MusicSky #PhysicalMedia #Vinyl #Supertramp #ProgressiveRock
#DendensMusicDen. Day 153. Ever since I first listened to Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, it ranks firmly amongst the top in my list of best albums ever made. It's a perfect musical journey every time, but it's Time that truly chills me to the bone. Flawless. #MusicSky #PhysicalMedia #PinkFloyd
#DendensMusicDen. Day 152. Nirvana's Greatest Hits contains amazing live performances from 1991 to 1993. I was 4-6 years old. Very grateful for records like this, which still gives me the chance to sort of experience the greatness of Nirvana. #MusicSky #PhysicalMedia #Vinyl #Nirvana #Grunge
#DendensMusicDen. Day 151. Even if you, like me, have never seen a minute of Fame, chances are you've heard the Music and Songs of Fame (as performed by the Famous D. Dance School Choir And Orchestra) before. I only realize now that I have, at least. #MusicSky #PhysicalMedia #Vinyl
#DendensMusicDen. Day 150. An old-school high-energy album from Green Day, Insomniac is sure to keep you up and transport you back to the mid-nineties. #MusicSky #PhysicalMedia #Vinyl #GreenDay #PunkRock
#DendensMusicDen. Day 149. ABBA's fourth studio album Arrival is fantastic. Next to the all-time classic such as Dancing Queen and Money, Money, Money, all the songs included never get old. #MusicSky #PhysicalMedia #Vinyl #Abba
#DendensMusicDen. Day 148. This Rocket-compilation album is very good, and I'm happy to have at least one Livin' Blues-song on record until I can get my hands on a full album. #MusicSky #PhysicalMedia #Vinyl #ArcadeRecords
