After meeting many EU citizens complaining they had not received a confirmation of their voting registration on time (as recently as yesterday), it seems like many are turned away from polling stations. The #RightToVote must be ensured! #DeniedMyVote #EUelections2019 #EP2019 1/2
The #DeniedMyVote fiasco gives a good indication of how EU citizens living in the UK after Brexit will be treated ie like sh*t.
French neighbour #deniedmyvote this morning. Had filled in all the forms over a month ago but wasn't allowed to vote at the polling station.
So depressing to see #DeniedMyVote trending.Oxford for Europe @OxfordStays saw the problem & ran weekly stalls providing the extra forms/addressed envelopes & even a last minute delivery service! So many had no idea it was needed & we only scratched the surface. Democracy denied.
