Last day in Hong Kong before heading home late tonight.
Been a great week reconnecting with my family albeit with the backdrop of another disturbing newscycle
HK - great city - & loved Shanghai #auspol #DeniseTravels
Hello Hong Kong!
First impressions…
-more multicultural/no Russians
-being vegetarian is hard (like Shanghai) - they like their meat
- easier to navigate for English only speakers (like us)
- not as many Police/security
- Big brands everywhere #auspol #DeniseTravels
Last morning and a big blue sky, cooler day in beautiful Shanghai.
Also - for a communist country - it sure is capitalist #auspol #DeniseTravels
In Old Shanghai for our last night before heading to Hong Kong for a couple of days.
Very beautiful.
Good, friendly vibe - families, tourists #auspol #DeniseTravels
Today in Shanghai - we’re catching the bullet train to Suzhou. Wish us luck - hard to navigate around a massive train station but the 25 year old daughter is proving very useful at last 💜💜 #auspol #DeniseTravels
Will share pics of the bullet train soon!
Beautiful mild evening in Shanghai - sitting at dinner watching the passing parade of happy couples, families. China has SO much going for it #auspol #DeniseTravels
Today in Shanghai…
Incredible to get a sense of living in a city which has a population larger than Australia.
-People are very friendly - curious (blonde hair curious too).
-Next to no obesity
-A lot of Eastern European accents (Russian maybe?🤔) #auspol #DeniseTravels
Came across this in a park in Shanghai. 100s of signs being shown like a real life dating app. See the translation! #auspol #DeniseTravels
Just went for a quick walk around the block in Shanghai -1st thing to note is how quiet it is as everyone drives an EV. No rubbish politicians & media undermining that on behalf of their fossil fuel donors.
Second thing - big brand ads everywhere! #auspol
Will share more updates! #DeniseTravels
