onsemi Unveils Next-Generation Depth Sensor for Industrial Use onsemi has introduced the Hyperlux™ ID family, marking the industry’s first real-time, indirect time-of-flight (iToF) sensor designed for high-precision, long-range measurements and 3D imaging of rapidly moving objects. Leveraging onsemi’s newly developed proprietary global shutter pixel architecture along with onboard storage, the Hyperlux ID family can simultaneously capture an entire scene while processing depth measurements in real-time. This advanced technology overcomes the constraints of conventional iToF sensors, enabling depth sensing up to 30 meters—four times farther than standard iToF solutions—while maintaining a more compact design.
