Multicolored butterfly with predominantly orange wings that are marked with patches of brilliant red, tan, bold black squiggles enclosing white zones and a wave-like white line tracing the serrated trailing edges. The abdomen is bright orange like the wings with bulging orange eyes. It rests on a group of small pink flowers with yellow centers as it sips nectar in bright sunshine against a background of green vegetation.

I would absolutely love to know if anyone has seen this creature before. It was on a tree to the right of the entry sign at the #Deramakot Forest Reserve, #Sabah State, #Malaysian #Borneo. I looked at every similar fern for over a week and never saw another example of the #caterpillar!
