What we're looking for: - Experience: 8+ years leading Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, or Community programs, including experience with open source communities and technical platform adoption. - Management Experience: 5+ years experience managing individual contributors, as well as experience managing other managers. - Strategic Builder: Proven expertise in building DevRel strategies from the ground up, moving beyond "awareness" to driving tangible product adoption and developer success. - Technical Fluency: You were a full-time developer in a previous life or have deep technical fluency in modern development workflows (CI/CD, SSH, authentication standards). - Community Safety: Passion for fostering psychological safety and stability in complex, public-facing community environments. - Security Focus (Strong Plus): Experience dealing with security-conscious developer communities or products (Identity, Auth, DevSecOps) is a strong plus. - Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with executives, legal counsel, and the public. - Community Leadership: Experience facilitating sensitive and complex community situations with humility, empathy, judgment, tact, and humor.
