New research project to support young adults to take part in free diabetic eye screening The 2-year project, starting in early 2026, will be led by the University of Galway, in collaboration with our Diabetic RetinaScreen and Public Health teams.

We’re starting work with @universityofgalway.bsky.social to co-design ways to support young adults aged 18 to 25 to take part in #DiabeticRetinaScreen.

This is a 2-year project with funding from the @hrbireland.bsky.social

Improving equity in diabetic eye screening: Partnership project with Pavee Point supports Travellers to protect eyesight We worked in partnership with Pavee Point Traveller and Roma Centre to improve knowledge and awareness about diabetic eye screening among Travellers living with diabetes.

Partnership and storytelling sit at the heart of this project with Pavee Point - working with Traveller Community Health Workers to share trusted, culturally-informed messages about #DiabeticRetinaScreen.
