Nice to spot the rare Red-shanked carder bee (excuse less than good image!) today on a decidedly cool & misty Ditchling Beacon feeding among the Cowslips & Dandelions along the northern slope. Also many Red-tailed queens & workers about. #Red-shankedCarderBee

I like cattle of all breeds.
I do also understand their important input in maintaining natural grassland as here on #DitchlingBeacon & also in nature-friendly sustainable beef & dairy farming.
However, I can't see the #economiclogic nor #commonsense in feeding sugar beet that takes up more land,
