Tonight was my butternut squash "mac'n'no-cheese" with added fried chicken tenders.
It came out perfectly, tasted creamy and cheesy despite the lack of dairy, and had the perfect texture, it made that squelching sound that lets you know it's good!

This morning is definitely a #domestiCub day.
Sunday morning, and I have a pot of my grandmother's soup recipe on the stove gently bubbling away, filling the living space with the smell of good home cooking.

A hearty bowl of ramen, steaming gently on the countertop.
Now to check the results of the home made stock.
I Made myself chicken and mushroom Ramen.

A stockpot full of frozen chicken bones and skins along with whole garlic cloves, mushrooms and a halved onion.
The stock simmering away, a book choi and various herbs have been added to the mix.
A silicone mould for 4 extra large ice cubes, filled with the gelatinous mass of the broth concentrate
I have been saving up a lot of chicken bones and skin from all the chicken thighs I've been roasting for lunch meats each week.
Finally had enough to make some broth concentrate for ramen 🍜.

So I am kicking this off with my grandmother's hearty ham and lentil soup.

The plated meal. The succulent chicken breast wrapped in smokey bacon. The side dish of patatas bravas looks rich and golden. Long stem broccoli round off the dish.
Felt like trying something home made but relatively simple.
Made hunters chicken and patatas bravas.
The husband has been raving about it. He said it may have been the best thing I ever cooked. Apparently the bravas was "restaurant quality"
