He still tries to greet me with his favorite tug rope, chase after a ball with puppy-like hope, or gleefully destroy his newest stuffed toy. Seeing him try so hard, while knowing the pain he must be in, is incredibly difficult. This mass is dimming the light in his eyes, day by day. Our vet at Dundee Veterinary Clinic has confirmed the need for surgery, with costs for everything involved estimated between $1,340 and $1,630.
