Finished #TheMonk by Matthew Gregory Lewis. Over the top, verbose, melodramatic and entertaining as hell. Some will find it dull, but I think it hits the sweet spot between pulpy and pretentious. #Gothic #BookSky #DontTrustNuns

Weird dream in which a convent had been built in a council estate in village where I grew up. The nuns were on the take and it was all a bit sinister. Influenced I think by Woman in the wall and Lemn Sissay talking about the mother/baby home where he grew up. #DontTrustNuns
