Alternate version of Spirou & Fantasio 1993 episode 19 The Strange Dr. Dean in which Spirou and Fantasio investigate incognito with Spip in the slums of New York a mysterious case: the repeated disappearance of homeless people linked to a mysterious purple limousine that spreads fear among the marginalized inhabitants of the megacity. Our heroes barely have time to get to know Spike, a young and friendly taxi driver who joins their investigation, before Fantasio is also kidnapped by the mysterious limousine. Having learned that Seccotine disappeared under the same circumstances as Fantasio, Spirou and Spike interviewed scientist Elizabeth Dean, where Spip discovered compromising evidence implicating her in the kidnappings of Seccotine and Fantasio. Elizabeth was securely tied/gagged in her living room, waiting for the police to arrive and arrest her.
