Chrome , Senku, and Ginro celebrate as they shout, "We've obtained sulfuric acid!"

After all the drama at the sulfuric acid pool and back at the village, Senku’s science, Chrome’s loyalty, and Ginro’s bravery win the day. They’ve secured sulfuric acid! Now, they can continue their roadmap and progress Stone Age science in the upcoming episodes! #DrStone 1.12.23

Remember when Senku restored the blackened silver spear by rubbing it with a basic solution? Something similar happens here: potassium carbonate neutralizes the hydrogen sulfide, which would result in potassium sulfate and carbonic acid, which rapidly converts to water and CO2. #DrStone 1.12.18

Senku’s gas masks will rely on activated carbon to soak up and neutralize any toxic gases that are breathed in. Carbon is “activated” in order to greatly increase its surface area. It’s used in many applications, including air filters in respirators. #DrStone 1.12.17

Hydrogen sulfide and sulfur dioxide are both heavier-than-air gasses, meaning they collect in low-lying areas. H2S smells like rotten eggs while SO2 smells like burnt matches. They’re chemically important and naturally produced, but they pose a problem for Senku. #DrStone 1.12.10
