Conferences with guidance counselors while also offering mediation between those that seemed to have issues. Itβs hard enough acting in front of a class while also seeing people who already judge you laugh because youβre trying to create. #dramaed #teachered #safespace

As stated before feedback is a huge part of the class. This is why I give students two opportunities to perform, once before direction and once after. The changes they noticed almost immediately. It feels stronger and more truthful, and gives the student more confidence. #dramaed #growthmindset
In my experience the assessments in my class really do help the students grow. After each unit we have a performance. Before the final grade we do a workshop session and it gives the students the opportunity to get feedback from me and their peers. #dramaed #teachered #growthmindset
If they view the lessons as something fun and something that helps teach them in steps, theyβll feel more confident and try even harder in the class. #dramaed #teachered #growthmindset
For my #dramaed class, I frame the concepts as games. In our current section on improv, we go through different focuses: Focus, Trust, Play, and Confidence. Through these games, they play different characters and learn the concepts through games. Think Whose Line Is It Anyway style! #growthmindset
#dramaed by far my biggest issue in class is getting the students to come up and act. Many are so nervous being in front of others. For those students I set a goal: By the end of the year, they will feel more confident about themselves and want to be a better version of themselves #teachered #growth
#TeacherEd #SpEd #DramaEd we must be understanding in our discipline of students. It is not about reprimanding but rehabilitating poor behavior. We should teach students why their behavior canβt occur and shown why good behavior is important. We can also find ways to reward good behavior like prizes
#TeacherEd #SpEd #DramaEd A4 My duty is to inspire confidence in my students. They should feel like their abilities are enough, and when they feel confident in my class, they can succeed in their others. Moreover, by practicing their speaking skills they can be more articulate and thoughtful in life

A3 Part of my philosophy is to uplift my students regardless of ability. Theatre is supposed to inspire confidence and communication. I include tons of positive reinforcement and praise and make my students feel like they are in the spotlight when they perform.
