💯 We need IPC policy to #DropDropletDogma. But we currently have no mitigations in place against short-range aerosol/ droplet transmission (masks, social distancing) only handwashing & surface-cleaning for fomites. 💯 the virus is airborne everywhere, but ventilation/clean air tech helps reduce risk.

HCWs follow national IPC guidance. It was very clear from Mod. 3 of the UK #Covid Inquiry that current policy is inadequate to stop the spread of airborne infectious diseases. Hence year-round "winter pressure", preventable deaths & #LongCovid, #WinterCrisis
