Raynor’s #DyingToWork might take on a new meaning

NEW: North Wales Police signs TUC Cymru's #DyingToWork Charter.

After a terminal diagnosis, a worker and their loved ones can face huge emotional stress and possible financial concerns.

The Charter assists workers by setting out how an employee should be supported following a terminal diagnosis.

The #dyingtowork posts involving Rayner on Tw*tt*r was an example of this.

Nah man, prior to election they were targetting (Streeting was) selling off large amounts of the NHS. They've attacked the disabled, used the tag line #DyingToWork, the attack on the trans community is beyond unforgivable, there's so much and we haven't even gotten to supplying arms to a genocide...

To be honest, I don’t see a great distinction any more. Although I suppose not even the Tories had a #dyingtowork slogan.

Sometimes the nature of the illness is such that the person is unlikely to be able to work again. In other cases, a person may decide that they do not want to work anymore and would rather spend their remaining time with their family and friends, getting their affairs in order, or simply doing what they want. However, a lot of workers with a terminal diagnosis decide that they want to continue working as long as they can, either because they need the financial security or because they find that their work can be a helpful distraction from their illness. Whichever choice a person makes, they should be able to expect help and support from their employer.
