We are back! Lets catch up 🎉
This summer we had a great session at the #EAA2024 discussing small things and identities all over the world from Palaeolithic to the Viking Age 🐚💎🗿
We are now working on publishing a collection of brilliant papers presented there. Keep an eye here for more updates❗️

Last week I delivered a talk at a #EAA2024 session organised by the lovely ppl of
@ANSOC_ERC. I received lots of compliments on my title (and the talk) and I just wanted to give credit where it's due, title was suggested by my lovely husband. 1/
A fair stand with booklets, flyers, an exhibition wall and several displays that read ‘ROOTS Cluster of Excellence’. One person sits behind the exhibition table, one stands in front of it.
Many thanks once again to all visitors to the #UniKiel stand at the #EAA2024 for the great interest and the fascinating discussions. Have the postcards arrived yet 📯? 😉

Lo que más me ha llamado la atención de la #EAA2024 en Roma es este cuadro en una pared de la facultad de química de La Sapienza :)
A laptop sits on a table under a sunshade. In the background is a blue sky and the rooflines of surrounding buildings
A view of the domed roof at the top of the Pantheon.
What do you do when you've gone to Rome for a conference, but Long Covid fatigue after day 1 means you can't do All The Conference Stuff? Well, you attend online from your hotel's roof terrace, which just happens to look out over the Pantheon 😍 #EAA2024
One of my main takeaways from #eaa2024 is good tidings if your thing is Hungary in 1st Mill AD as there are a LOT of DNA results coming your way.
Feeling a bit like my badge 🥵 after the #EAA2024, but it has been great to see friends and colleagues coming from all over the world 🌍 I hope conference fees will decrease next year so we can still have an inclusive place to meet and share ideas... See you in Belgrade 🤞!
Leaving Rome after the great symposium of @archaeologyeaa.bsky.social 2024 edition!
On last day we had our session #926 Bridging Past and Present: Exploring Collaborative Approaches on Community and Citizen Archaeology.
Many perspectives, Great talks and very rich discussions! 😃

Thanks to everyone who took part in #EAA2024 session 466 on Friday - our speakers Unn Pedersen, Sarah Wolferstan and Anna Beck, co-organisers @drsadiewatson.bsky.social, Kate Faccia, Francesca Benetti, volunteer Emily Johnston and our great audience!
If you still have capacity after a long and informative #eaa2024 in Rome then come and here me talk about my theoretical concepts and others at the workshop 1154 "Stone Age Theory in an undefined paradigm: Gen Y to Z, Thirds Science Revolutions to New Materialisms" starting at 16.30!!
#EAA2024 was an absolute pleasure, Rome was everything you hope it would be and they even let me present while holding my invisible cantaloupe.
