Happy #FlyDay! ✈️ One of the greatest long-term challenges facing #CivilAviation is environmental sustainability. Last month, #ECLIF3 measured the emissions from a passenger aircraft powered entirely by Sustainable Aviation Fuel #SAF for the first time.
✈️ Aircraft are currently only allowed to operate on a 50% blend of #SAF & conventional jet fuel. Initial results of #ECLIF3 show that the engines release fewer particulates under all operating conditions when using pure SAF. This will support the drive to certify 100% SAF use.
