#AI #EDLT6616 #AIEducation One of the biggest takeaways I have from this month on BlueSky for EDLT6616 is how everyone seems to fall on one of two sides. Finding a happy medium continues to be my goal in education.
Teaching the Prompt, Not Just the Tool
In this AI era, we need to teach students how to ask better questions. Prompt engineering, curiosity, and ethical awareness are becoming essential learning outcomes. #AIandEducation #EDLT6616
What Motivates Me
I’m not in this program for a title.
I’m in it because someone out there—some student, some adult learner, some employee—deserves a learning experience that actually works. #InstructionalDesign #WhyIEducate #EDLT6616
Equity and Access
Technology can open doors—but only if we use it to remove barriers, not add new ones. Designing with accessibility and equity in mind is essential. Always. #InstructionalDesign #EducationForAll #EDLT6616
Learning ≠ Memorizing
Real learning happens when students feel safe, seen, and curious—not just when they get the answer right. Tech can help, but only if we remember the learner is human first. #FutureOfEducation #EDLT6616
This video from the International Society for Technology in Education sheds some light on uses for AI in the classroom, and how AI can transform the way we learn.

Some see AI as a destructive force toward education. This TED talk by Sal Kahn promotes the opposite message, stating AI can enhance education instead.

AI has its pros and cons when it comes to education.
PROS include brainstorming and convenience when educational faculty is unavailable. Time is a valuable resource!
CONS include data inaccuracy and calculation errors. Tools are only as good as the professional behind them!

Ai will improve the work with the students. I have used it where I have typed up my response and then sent it through AI to make sure that it if more professional worded. These will help the students see how to improve their work. #EDLT6616 erichudson.substack.com/p/25-observa...
Students will use AI the wrong way if we don't teach them how to be safe. If you don't teach with AI they will use it anyway and use it the wrong way. #EDLT6616 fitzyhistory.substack.com/p/the-ai-dou...
I think this would help parents have a hard time with their homework due to math is getting harder then when they were kids or they did it a different way and aren't sure how to help. AI is a great to help them understand the steps #EDLT6616 www.eschoolnews.com/steam/2025/0...
I agree with this that it is helping the students work to be better. Using it myself I was against at first but I have learned so much from it! I don't feel judged to ask questions if I am not sure what to do. #EDLT6616 aipodcast.education/does-ai-make...
Love this it is hard to come up with things like "hooks" for the students or activities that would work well for your students. This is helpful where we are planning the lessons to get the support needed. #EDLT6616 www.edutopia.org/article/ai-l...
We need to make sure that we are keeping them safe and teaching them how to use it wisely since this is the world today! #EDLT6616 www.edutopia.org/article/ai-r...
This is something that we need to think about the world is coming that students need to understand the work place today needs more digital tools and they need to be familiar with them and know how to work them. #EDLT6616 www.universityworldnews.com/post.php?sto...

I heard about this. I do think that its far for them to ban it in the work place but its up to the people if they want it in their person stuff. Just because we don't have this doesn't mean we can't find support on other apps like Facebook #EDLT6616

I like that it says that some teachers use it to help themselves and others. They talk to each other to bounce ideas off of each other. We are all in this together #EDLT6616

Major branches of our society on here, such as education and healthcare, and the word that comes to mind with AI here is infiltration, meaning its prevalence will be immense. Is anyone else concerned perhaps, about our depending on it too much? #EDLT6616
