A frozen cell zoo for conservation biology and biomedicine - El·lipse The CryoZoo is a high-quality, research ready resource to support scientific and conservation efforts. It has recently received a grant to derive induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) from wild animal species, especially those at risk of extinction, to safeguard and study them.

🧬❄️ The Barcelona CryoZoo is helping preserve biodiversity!

A joint effort by #EMBLBarcelona and @upf.edu, together with #ZooBCN and @museuciencies.cat , this biobank stores and studies cells from wild species, especially endangered ones.
