The slide is titled: Academic Values: Europe's soft power can be its ultimate competitive edge - "Politics is downstream from culture". - Academic freedom to investigate everything, especially politically sensitive subjects like climate, biodiversity, vaccines and gender. - Collaboration: fostering a collaborative pluralistic environment where researchers can build on each other's work and contribute more easily. - Openness: responsibly sharing publications, data, software and other research output. - Transparency: making the entire research lifecycle visible, whch helps with verification and reproducibility. - Inclusivity and equity: ensuring that all indviduals, regardless of their location or insitution can participate in and benefit from scientific progress.
He goes on to argue that European academic values or "soft power" can be its ultimate competitive edge
