A breath of fresh air to stand on the Rock of Dunamase at sunset and survey all around. Gratitude to the bird that rose into the sky on the left hand side! ๐

"An ever-present lurker in estuarine creeks, harbours and mudflats, the redshank has a fluting call that is the soundtrack to winter on the wild coast."
The 'wild coast' here is the Bull Wall, 6km from Dublin centre city. @nlireland.bsky.social @epaireland.bsky.social #ReViewingIreland #EPA_NLI_PiR
Such light today along the Clontarf seafront: Curlew in the gold and blue of the water. Days like this are great adverts for winter.

Leitrim Dev Co became involved in Community Garden projects in Leitrim to help establish a 'Community Garden Network'. #ReViewingIreland visited this garden in Drumshanbo and another in Mohill. Pockets of diversity provide vital lungs. @nlireland.bsky.social @epaireland.bsky.social #EPA_NLI_PiR
#ReViewingIreland is on THE JF SHOW #ShannonsideFM tomorrow (Thurs) at 10.40am. The last trip was to #Leitrim covering the Community Garden Network in #Drumshanbo & #Mohill, and plans are afoot for #Roscommon #Longford #Monaghan and #Cavan

View from stoney beach of pathway to road, with chestnut wood fencing either side, and grassy dunes. The sky is blue with rippling white clouds that also are wispy from the wind. A pile of unused fencing is to the right, and a lifebuoy to the right. The stones are medium sized and some have a blue hue, perhaps from the blue sky above.
When #ReViewingIreland went to Kerry earlier this month, one trip was the Maharees on the Dingle penninsula, where the community have restored their dunes by planting marram grass and fencing them off from trampling feet, cars, tents. #EPA_NLI_PiR @epaireland.bsky.social @nlireland.bsky.social
Metal waste at a waste facility in a heap, awaiting the crushing and mincing machines. The metal waste takes up the bottom two thirds of the images, and above a blue sky with wispy white clouds. It is an example of how waste can be oddly beautiful.
Galway Metal at Oranmore, Co Galway, where they are passionate about recycling metal waste. #ReViewingIreland (the name of my project on Ireland's environment) went there in mid-October, on a beautiful sunny Autumn day. @nlireland.bsky.social @epaireland.bsky.social #EPA_NLI_PiR
