Meanwhile, tech platforms are censoring words like sex and making it nearly impossible for readers to find the stories they crave. And yet, romance continues to keep the publishing industry alive — the Atlantic just ran a feature on how romance helps all of publishing stay in the black.
Theo Reads may be small today, but we’re rewriting the rules of romance (even in soft beta, we’ve already published just shy of 1,000 stories). We don’t treat sex as spectacle or love as purity. We see both as expressions of the same human longing — to be seen, wanted, forgiven, and real.

Things go off the rails when she encounters Wes and turns his mundane night into one of unforgettable pleasure. With him driving the action, she quietly fights her enjoyment of his attention. But what happens when they get to Wonderland and depart the subway car with the crowd?
