"One of my hopes with #ESTSS2025 is that we would leave as ambassadors for Georgia, and we've come together a family." Dominic offers thanks to all present "for making #ESTSS2025 come alive".
He pays special tribute to co-chairs Jana D Javakhishvili and Lela Tsiskarishvili
ESTSS President Dominic Murphy reflects on the #ESTSS2025 keynotes: the power of implementation; dealing in truth; and the importance of the past.
The winner of the #ESTSS2025 Academic Poster competition is:
-Jeanet Karchoud (Amsterdam UMC).
Commended:
-Cornelia Mǎirean & Alexandra Cobzeanu (Alexandru Ioan Cuza University).
-Lisa Steenkamp (Sinai Centrum).
Congratulations to all authors and co-authors.
She shares three truths observed over #ESTSS2025:
- both trauma *and* resilience have so many faces
- silence protects nobody
- we have a shared responsibility to treat, witness and integrate
" please take these with you; we should be hopeful...unified...and good luck"
Don't go anywhere, as we are straight into the Closing Ceremony of #ESTSS2025. Stay tuned to find out who has won the Academic Paper prizes and (very importantly) where we will all be meeting up in 2027*....

Gefeliciteerd, PSYTREC!!!!!!! #ESTSS2025
At our #ESTSS2025 symposium in Tbilisi, we presented findings from #PSYTREC’s brief, intensive, evidence-based PTSD treatment. Notably, outcomes were similar for patients with PTSD alone and those meeting DSM criteria for dissociative identity disorder (#DID).
We presented on the results of our brief intensive evidence based treatment of severe PTSD from #PSYTREC at #ESTSS2025 in Tbilisi. We showed that despite the rotation of therapists in our treatment model the therapeutic alliance is very good and remains that way.
Very proud of our researchers who presented on our brief intensive evidence based treatment of severe PTSD from PSYTREC at #ESTSS2025 in Tbilisi. We showed that all our formats are effective: our 8-day program and our two 4-day programs (with or without a week in between).
During our symposium at #ESTSS2025 in Tiblisi on our brief intensive evidence based treatment of #personality disorders #PSYTREC we showed our results of personality disorders program and the bizarrely strong effect on the symptoms and diagnostic status one year later.
That's all from us today folks! #ESTSS2025 delegates are off to enjoy the formal Conference Dinner, but that's not for social media consumption...for now.
See you tomorrow for our final day...and it promises to be another cracker!

"enormous amounts of information are accessible to us today which have high possibilities for usability" but the frameworks are not quite there....yet.
- Isaac Galatzer-Levy #ESTSS2025
Today, Isaac says, we measure things (eg via smartwatches or imageing) that don't fit into our traditional measurement paradigms - these new paradigms are still needing to be defined and will change as we move forward.
