I've been connected to a variety of educators since the late 2000s via on-line groups on different platforms. I met the #etmooc and #clmooc group in 2013. Many of those people are part of #DS106. I keep encouraging people involved in other tutor, mentor programs to connect the same way I have.

I've been following @systemswiki.bsky.social since around 2011, first on LinkedIn. It's fascinating to see what Gene does with systems modeling and how he shares his work and thinking. I think some of my #clmooc and #etmooc friends might find this interesting.

"Who's listening?" is one of the questions I've asked myself every day for the past 25 years as I've shared strategies for helping kids in high poverty areas via a variety of Internet enabled channels.
Responses by some in #clmooc & #etmooc, etc. show that some, indeed, do listen.
This is part a 2012 network analysis graphic created by Dan Bassill, founder of Tutor/Mentor Institute, LLC in 2011 and Tutor/Mentor Connection in 1993. It shows clusters of 871 people Dan was connected with and how they connect with each other, but that few from one cluster interact with people from other groups. If I did this in 2025 there would be additional clusters for the ETMOOC and CLMOOC educators Dan has connected with since 2013.

So far, many of these friend, family & college groups have not come to Mastodon, Bluesky, or even Twitter.
Way back, I used some of early #AI tools to experiment with designing an interactive poetry project called Haiku Quest as part of #etmooc. I built it in Twine, though. (I also do Interactive Fiction in my classroom).
