Why do students work?
Across #EUROSTUDENT countries:
👉️ 70% say covering living costs is a key motive;
👉️ 69% want to afford extra things;
👉️ 59% work to gain labour market experience;
👉️ 48% to afford studying;
👉️ 26% to support others financially.

In most #EUROSTUDENT countries, the share of BA students living in student accommodation has decreased between E:V and E:8.
In 37% of countries — incl. Sweden, Norway, Ireland, France, Denmark, Austria & Croatia — dorm use increased, though less strongly.
Denmark saw the largest rise (+15 pp).

Across the #EUROSTUDENT countries, 22% of students report discrimination experiences during their studies. On average, the most common grounds for discrimination, as perceived by the students themselves, are gender and age, with 8 and 6%, respectively.
