Tonight is #Eckmancito 's first overnight trip (with 3 grades of his elementary school). I miss him, but my hubs is in worse shape, "No one will sing him to sleep tonight." 😭 It became my husband's duty since our son started sleeping in his own room and I put our dd to bed. ❤️

Over Christmas my kids spent time with 5 cousins. At some point, 4 cousins and his sister dogpiled on top of #Eckmancito on the trampoline and he laughed the whole time.
He gets exponentially better at Super Smash Bros every visit.

Hubs still has a permanent resident status in Argentina, but both countries have mandatory military service so not in a hurry to make #Eckmancito dual anywhere.
In other news, I have received my very own redacted alien file from the U.S. government. 👽🛸
We've had a sandwich maker since we were married gathering dust on top of our cabinets. In the great purge of stuff it was put in the donate pile. Today, hubs rescued it and #Eckmancito is getting grilled sandwiches for his lunch next week.

The day has come. For the first time today we dropped #Eckmancita and #Eckmancito off at elementary school in K & 3rd grade.
Until June, my husband will be dropping the kids and me off at a single location.
And we are no longer paying for daycare, but summer camp will be $$$$
I made the marry me chickpeas. I was out so I used cannellini beans. Used chicken stock because that's what was in the fridge and swapped out a can of artichoke hearts because I had no spinach.

#Eckmancito asked what a scrimmage was because he's in a flag football camp this week.
I looked it up, the first definition was, "a confused struggle or fight."

Homemade sourdough. #Eckmancito (8) announced he does not like crust this morning and would have preferred his breakfast on a store-bought bagel. 😭💔 I started this loaf at 8pm the night before and fed the starter for ages.
#Eckmancito wanted to keep the empty glass soda bottle.

Because it made him feel like it was the 1970's and the bottle was from the 1920's
Excuse me while I wither from old age over here. 💀
#Eckmancito is old enough to shower by himself but young enough to get the ceiling wet with the showerhead spray so I got dripped on and Daddy had to climb up and dry it off.
Also, he knows what cannibalism is and can use it correctly in a sentence. 💀
8-year-old problems
#Eckmancita refused it outright. #Eckmancito ate half of one, gave the rest to his Dad and opted for pirate's booty instead.
Hubs is happy. It's a decent cookie.
Spent 4:30-5am cleaning #Eckmancito vomit on the hallway floor, my purse, my winter jacket, his jacket, toilet, both sides of the toilet, the wall, the trash can lid, the stool, the toilet bowl and plunger & holder. #Eckmancita stole my space on the bed. How is your day going?

Teaching #Eckmancito (7) to understand the price per pound at the grocery store to shop is something we had fun doing today. He loves math. Unfortunately, the lesson resulted in purchasing the bulk size cheezits instead of the multipack at >2x the price per lb. 🧀 🤦🏻
