The island of Eilean Bàn seen from above Kyle of Lochalsh. The image shows a view from a high viewpoint down onto an island that stretches across the middle of the frame. It is connected to land by a low bridge in the bottom right of the frame and a higher bridge heads off to the left of the island, with land visible in the background and mountains in the distance. Near the high bridge on the island is a lighthouse and a cottage, both white. The sky is light blue.

View of Eilean Bàn from the parapet of Eilean Bàn lighthouse. You can see the iron bridge back to the island, then the white painted oil store, with two large acetylene tanks behind. These were installed when the lighthouse was converted from paraffin to acetylene in 1960. There is a wall protected the path between the lighthouse and the keepers' cottages, which are mostly out of sight behind some foliage covered rocks. The double pitched slate roof and white painted chimney stacks are just visible Most of the island is a mixture of rocks, bracken and bramble. There is a rocky shore in the foreground with a slipway visible. The Skye Bridge springs from the island and sails off out of shot to the right towards the Isle of Skye. Loch Alsh, Eileanan Dubha, Glas Eilean and Avernish are visible behind.
