I've finished my Mollymauk Tealeaf inspired plush that I've been working on the last 47 days!
I'll be taking better photos and making a detailed post on my ElfPlush Instagram later, but I wanted to share tonight!

The Mighty Nein Mollymauk Tealeak plush doll in progress with an open chest white gabardine shirt, pants made from half peacock brocade fabric and half teal and gold diamonds brocade fabric, brown minky boots, curling dark grey horns decorated with complex gold lace and sun and star charms, and a hand embroidered face and tattoos.
The same Mollymauk plush turned to the other 3/4 view showing off a curling dark grey horn complex silver lace and silver star and moon charms to imitate jewelry.

Close up views of the recently finished horns.
Mollymauk has his horns now!
Now just need to do the coat.

By the end of the weekend my WIP Mollymauk Tealeaf plush had a full outfit. I still need to make his coat and horns.

My friend holding their 3 new Kermie plushes.
Myself and my friend.
A couple of weeks ago, I delivered the trio to my friend and let them know what I'd been up to, much to their delight.
I also let them know I'd be sharing the pattern publicly for anyone that wanted to make their own or personal use.

Four of my homemade Kermit beanbag plushes sitting on top of a bookshelf.
Since I was surprising my friend, I didn't post it as a I worked, and started messaging a different friend to discuss/share progress.
I finished the quartet up and re-drew the final pattern to be reusable later if needed.
I decided 3 would go to the planned giftee & 1 to the helper.

A white cardboard box with holes poked into it to hold safety eyes with kermit pupils hand-painted on each one.
I hand painted those pupils on plastic dome safety eyes and cut off the back 1/4~1/2inch of the eye post to fit them comfortably inside the small head. I thought I did pretty decent considered I am not the best at this kind of detail repetitive painting.

I have no words for the blooming Kermit legs absurdity. Enjoy the laugh. Ultrasuede feet version.

Please know when making small plushes like this -- the last sewing step before the final turn often looks FUCKING HILARIOUS.
This gives me joy.
Also I recognize now the arms/legs may have worked better as single thickness fleece cut with pinking shears. Hindsight 20/20. Whatever.

I'm also working with what I have on hand or can acquire inexpensively/easily. I'm seeing my friend in less than a month for a tattoo.
Looking at the original turn arounds, I am not impressed with the head shape. I draft my head intentionally differently. CUTER. (YMMV. Shut up.)

A rough draft/test kermit plush only partially assembled out of a throw away fleece I have on hand.
But hey. I make amateur plushes for a hobby. The design is relatively simple. It wouldn't be very ethical to make and sell them, but as a gift from one friend to another? I could probably make a decent replica.
So I collected pictures and started drafting a pattern.

I hand sew plushes as a hobby then (mostly) give them away to friends and acquaintances.
Here's a couple of examples of my creations. #ElfMakesPlushes
