Utilities are planning to bury power lines after the LA fires. Should they? We take a closer look at Southern California Edison’s plans to go underground with power lines in Altadena and Malibu.

In my neighborhood, fires from power lines aren’t a rare event — we’ve had transformer explosions, arcing during wind, and avian interaction. Utilities have long known the risks. I’d rather face a longer outage than see homes burn. It’s time to modernize our infrastructure. #EllenForSenate
