Hell, at this stage, I wouldn't classify it as a romance, but it's so freaking good. I love the writing and storytelling. I love that this continues to build toward big revelations while eventually lining up an HEA for Desiree. I love the encounters that she has with Jimmy. Her compassion is sometimes her downfall, but it is also her saving grace. For his part, he seems to only partially realize the gift that's being presented. I'm excited to see if he does his homework and the impact it has. -- Book quote 'Desiree’s instincts screamed for her to run while her libido yelled for her to jump him. He was exactly the kind of guy she always fell for—poor, sexy as sin, and someone who’d bring her more trouble than good.' -- Desiree I can't wait to see more Sparks fly between Desiree and Devon St. John. For good or evil, I suspect he'll be part of her life for some time. Either way, I look forward to the showdowns. And, yes, I expect there'll be more than one. They are just that combustible. 💣💥🔥 As for the big O party, it is hot and completely over-the-top. It gets a little messy from time to time - literally and figuratively. I think her time with the cousins is over, but that storyline has some more life to it. I'm curious to see that play out. I have my suspicions, but time will tell. This is not a standalone, and it doesn't conclude here. You could possibly get by without reading the prior books, but I wouldn't recommend that route. Alright, Ellis, let's get to the next installment. I'm eager for all the goodies! *claps hands and rubs together in an eager gesture*
