I'm currently fixing all the bugs caused by the migration and also further polishing the graphics. The shadow quality has been improved and aquatic stage is brighter now. But most important of all: There now is an useless button that makes duck sounds.

#ElysianEclipse 0.6.0 Comparison:

Version 0.6.0 is a huge step forward! While it doesn't contain any new features, it runs on the new render pipeline and brings lots of graphical and technical improvements. The file size has been reduced by 500 MB and it runs about 15% faster in a lot of places.

Let's gooo! The render pipeline migration is pretty much done and all of the stages are playable again! I even improved some mechanics like the creation viewer (see screenshot) and the decal system.

Unity has finally deprecated the render pipeline used by #ElysianEclipse, which means that we have to switch to the Universal Render Pipeline (URP) to continue receiving updates.

The tropical valley, will be the first biome to receive a rework. It will be much bigger and sandier. The mountains are higher and have more natural shapes with visible erosion. Still work in progress. Vegetation is disabled at the moment.

The stat system has been reworked. Health and damage values are now much higher, making them easier to balance without needing decimals. Furthermore age and skill levels now have proper tooltips, letting you see the exact rewards you get.

Instead of having just a single level, your species can now earn experience in different skills! These grant bonuses like permanent stat increases. Reaching new stages will also unlock more skills.

Some more progress on the plant editor. You can now create twisted tree trunks. The "cap" of this plant is a work in progress version of one of the first fungus parts.

The material selector is here! It lets you change the material of the individual regions of hut and plant parts. It even lets you change the leaf shape of foliage. Here, I used it to create a bamboo hut.

Elysian Eclipse now has new fonts! The text is now more stylized and rounded, especially for headings. Small caps have been removed completely to make everything more consistent.

The sub-part system has been added to more parts. You can now for example place windows on both layers of this roof and they will be automatically rotated correctly. Previously only the top layer was clickable and you couldn't attach parts to it at all.

Categories for vehicles and starships have been added in preparation for the second space stage prototype. There won't be an editor yet though, since you'll fly a premade ship. Development will start directly after christmas.

Tried to make some different types of foliage and ended up with hanging leaves, similar to weeping willows. This is just a quick test, the final part will have a prettier texture.
