These two house ads ran 7 years apart, but they are light years apart as far as theme and story are concerned.

Much like the #ReignOfTheSupermen aftermath/lead-in to #EmeraldTwilight SUPERMAN #82, #DanJurgens does a great job of working in the guest star's current goings-on in their respective series. This is the kind of writing that makes a shared universe fun which feels lost in today's #comics.

Can't help but wonder if #DanJurgens was already planting the seeds for Hal Jordan in Zero Hour, but I don't think the timing works out for when #DCComics would have pivoted late to the new direction for #EmeraldTwilight. Unless SM 83 was started much later than GL 47.

I reread #GreenLantern 45-47 & #Superman 82-83. As many times as I saw #EmeraldTwilight debated on the old #DCComics message boards, I don't recall SM 83 coming up. Even though apparently released same day as GL 47, occurs weeks later in story & more reflective of Hal's mindset pre-GL 48.

I could have sworn when #GreenLantern Mosaic ended there was a teaser image for #EmeraldTwilight in the letter column, but nope, nada. My mind's eye has the 2 sets of Guardians (including John Stewart in Guardian robe) being separated by #HalJordan. Did I imagine this? And where did house ad appear?

Reading up on the original plot of #EmeraldTwilight in #GreenLantern & randomly wondered if it was ever announced who would be the new artist come #50. Lettercol to #47 says #DarrylBanks, but by then looks like ET plot had already changed.
