I was really looking forward to playing some games on my steamdeck today but I guess duckstation had other plans. ended up spending all day guessing at what to do. searching multiple subreddits and discords. asking for help and kind of being ignored. almost fixed it though #emudeck #steamdeck

My hypothesis worked.

I wiped Eden's .local & .config & storage data on the Steam Deck. Copied the .local & storage data over from the Bazzite HTPC. Now both machines have matching Eden user profile IDs and sync to the same ID on Nextcloud.

Much sadness about ShadPS4 developer putting out a new version and annihilating previous compatibility list.

They dropped from 320+ titles working to 20+ titles with the 7.1.0 version.

I've used #EmuDeck for years, but I've had so many issues now (esp with the Win version) that I'm seriously considering just managing it all independently;

I've had to reset my installation on 3 separate occasions now, either due to failures installing emulators, weird SRM errors or buggy updates..

Playing and Finishing Games on Steam Deck: My 2024 Recap Fair warning on this post: it's going to be an elongated, glorified list. I may be a little different to some others who own handhelds. Since I bought my Steam Deck OLED, I've been crushing through a lot of games. And I don't mean just building my collection, but actually finishing games. Last year, I finished 28 games. As of writing, I’m up to 8 this year and nearly through my 9th.
