The fairy shares a name with their ancient bc that's the word their fairy says when Khed'a meets them. Khed'a thinks this is them saying their name but it's actually the familiar recognizing their past self based on khed'a's soul.

Scholar is tied to their ancient, Eos. In my lore, the fairy for scholar is a familiar from their ancient who is drawn to their soul. Eos was a much more hands off type of healer (enjoyed focusing on other things) so they created a fairy to supplement their heals.
