❝I feel the need to tell you that, for me, this evening was the most beautiful response to everything we’ve experienced in the last four months. Tonight, I saw decency, I saw determination, I saw people smiling in Victory Square. I saw people who don’t hate anyone. We came here because we share common beliefs, the same value system, and because we want to remain in Europe. The people who came to the square today gave the most resolute answer—that we, too, are the people. The people aren’t just them, those who threaten death, only them, those who seek closeness with Russia. This is a normal, decent Romania that we see in the square today.
